Before my trip, I also thought that buying a plane ticket and getting a visa were the only things I needed. In reality, there are a few more documents that immigration officers may ask to see when you arrive.

• Passport
Your passport must meet Indonesia's validity requirements. Before every trip, I recommend checking the latest requirements for your nationality on official government websites or with your visa agent.
• Visa
You'll need a visa to enter Indonesia. You can apply for one in advance or obtain a Visa on Arrival after landing.
The most common tourist visas are valid for 30 or 60 days. If you're planning a longer stay, there are other visa options available.
• Return Ticket
It's best to purchase your return or onward ticket before your trip. Sometimes immigration officers don't ask for it, but it's not something I'd rely on.

Even if you're planning to extend your stay after arriving, you should still have a ticket that complies with the conditions of your current visa.
Before traveling, be sure to confirm the latest requirements with the visa agent handling your application.
• Accommodation Booking Confirmation
Immigration officers may ask you to show proof of your accommodation. A hotel reservation, Booking.com confirmation, Airbnb reservation, or another accommodation booking is usually sufficient.
