When Froggy appeared
She never knew how to travel the right way. She wasn't interested in just ticking off another country on her list. It was much more intriguing to understand why she wanted to stay in one city for another week, while in another she felt like leaving the next day.
She always asked too many questions. Why do people here smile more often? Why is the last seat in this café always taken? Why does the whole neighborhood wake up at six in the morning? Why does one sunset stay in memory for a lifetime, while another fades away by the next day?
Perhaps that's why one day Froggy became an editor. Not to tell people where to go and what to see. But to capture cities as they are experienced by the people living in them.
Over time, many stories emerged. But for the first time, one of them begins not after everything has already happened. But right now. This story starts with a flight to Bali.
And, to be honest, I don't know how it will end. I don't know where we will be living in a week. Which places will become our favorites. Which tips will turn out to be true. And which will remain just someone else's experience.
That's why I decided not to postpone anything until the end. Not to write the book after the story is over. But to live it together.
Page by page. Day by day. Without the chance to go back and rewrite yesterday. Without a ready ending. Without a manuscript that is already sitting in a drawer.
There is only today. And the next page, which doesn't exist yet. It will only appear after it has been lived.
Right now, the plane is already flying to Indonesia. To the island of Bali.
...
It seems it's time to open the first chapter.
