Aegir Project Brewery
Beer runs from tank to tap, in a brewery named after the sea.

Aegir Project Brewery was founded by Rory Lancelas in Noordhoek in 2015 after years of working with beer in different countries.
In the early days, the project was close to a one-man operation. Rory handled much of the process himself, from milling malt to maintaining the taps.
The name also fits the location. Ægir is a sea figure from Norse mythology, which feels surprisingly natural for coastal Noordhoek.
Today, Aegir is a full brewery with a taproom, with beer moving directly from tanks to taps. Production is not hidden somewhere far from the guest space. It remains the centre of the whole place.
A restaurant and family-friendly area have grown around it, so you do not need to come only for a tasting.
But the real reason to save Aegir is simple: behind the bar is an actual working brewery.
