The Rock

The viewpoint sits on the rocks above Bantry Bay, with panoramic views of the Atlantic, the coastline and Cape Town’s mountains. There’s no café, developed viewing platform or attraction here just huge boulders, a natural path and the view. Bring something with you, find a free rock and settle in for a small picnic. Come about an hour before sunset to find a good spot and catch the golden hour. On a clear day, it’s an especially beautiful place to watch the sun disappear into the Atlantic.
