Saunders Rock
A small beach among granite rocks with a tidal pool and beautiful Atlantic sunsets

The main reason to visit is Saunders’ Rock Tidal Pool, a small tidal pool tucked between huge granite boulders. The water is still refreshingly Atlantic-cold, but swimming in the pool is calmer than in the open ocean. Save this spot for the summer season.
It’s best to come closer to sunset. You can have a picnic on the rocks and watch the sun disappear over the Atlantic. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays.
