Lucky lou

The idea is to create a place for all kinds of occasions. Stop by for coffee in the morning, breakfast on the weekend, a bite after a run, or drinks and a casual dinner with friends in the evening.

Lucky Lou’s interior is easy to recognise, with terracotta-pink walls, a blue ceiling, leafy corners and a cosy fireplace. There’s additional seating upstairs in a gallery-style space, giving the place the feel of a lively neighbourhood café rather than a typical coffee shop.

The menu is small but satisfying, with eggs on sourdough toast, green frittata, beans on toast, the Maggy’s Sando sandwich, burgers and steak. Drop in for a quick coffee, settle in with your laptop for a couple of hours, or stay into the evening for food and drinks.

At Lucky Lou, you order at the counter and then choose a table. Reservations aren’t available, so be prepared to wait a little during busy periods.
