La Colombe Restaurant
Fine dining in a mountain forest, where each course becomes part of the story.

La Colombe has been operating since 1996 and became one of the restaurants that helped shape Cape Town’s international fine-dining reputation.
It began at Constantia Uitsig before later moving to Silvermist Estate.
Today, the kitchen combines French technique, South African produce, and a distinctly theatrical approach to presentation. The tasting menu is not designed as a simple sequence of dishes. Tableware, visual details, and the order of the courses work together to build a story over the evening.
So La Colombe makes more sense as a complete experience than as a place to visit for one signature plate.
Each course is designed to lead into the next.
The setting matters too. Silvermist sits within the mountain forest of Constantia, removing much of the feeling of being in a city restaurant. The landscape becomes an extension of the dining room and changes the entire pace of the meal.
In short: 🍽️ Long tasting menu · 🇫🇷 French technique · 🇿🇦 South African produce · 🎭 Theatrical presentation · 🌲 Silvermist Estate · 🕰️ Since 1996
