Suluban Beach

Suluban / Pecatu, Uluwatu

To reach the water here, you have to walk down a long staircase and literally pass beneath the cliffs. Even the beach’s name seems to warn you…

Suluban Beach

Suluban Beach sits at the base of Uluwatu’s cliffs, and getting there is already half of the experience.

After a long descent, the route to the water passes through a natural rock opening. The name is often linked to the Balinese word mesulub, meaning to pass or bend beneath something which fits the geography rather well.

Suluban is also known as Blue Point Beach and Uluwatu Beach. It is not only a place for a classic beach day it has long been known as an access point to one of Uluwatu’s reef surf breaks.

In short: 🪨 Passage through the cliffs · 🪜 Lots of steps · 🌊 Ocean · 🏄 Surf spot · 📍 Also known as Blue Point Beach · 👟 Be ready for the climb back up
