"Bali Safari & Marine Park works very differently from a classic city zoo.
The main Safari Journey takes place in an enclosed guided bus that moves through different themed areas while animals roam around the route.
The park opened in 2007, covers around 40 hectares, and reports more than 100 species and over 1,000 animals. Alongside tourism, it also runs conservation and educational programmes.
The important thing is not to mix up the different experiences. Open-style safari vehicles, night safari, feeding sessions, and closer animal encounters belong to separate programmes and depend on the ticket you choose.
